We are in the business of music recording and video production services. The primary things that we offer as products are podcast studio rental, recording, mixing, and mastering of songs, and live video production which can include music videos, commercials or weddings. When artists need a place to bring a song to life and also have distribution so that the song can be found on all platforms, we are their one-stop shop. When people have dreams of podcasting, but don’t have all the gear themselves, or even need someone to ideate with to fine-tune what they had in mind, we pick their idea up off the ground and run with it operating as a video production and marketing company.

$8,000. This has been since we opened our doors September 1st, 2024. This money was spent on both sets within the podcast studio. Recording equipment for video sets one and \ two. Audio equipment for recording mixing and mastering, including vocal mics, audio interface and instruments

We have utilized basic social media marketing as well as personal connections to establish a steady stream of business. Because we have a higher profit margin on the podcasting studio, that easily allows us to bring in more artists in the recording studio without much risk of not meeting our overhead
Why do you want to pitch your business?
I believe that we’ve captured a corner of the market in Abilene that has completely unrivaled potential. Music is what drives larger communities and having a pipeline of vetted artists could bolster our performing venues as well as cultivate more talent for recording. When you partner that with a podcast studio where content can be created for marketing, you have all the pieces to be able to inform the community of what you do, as well as put out quality music to incentivize local venues to book you for performances.
What is your unique selling proposition? What is your “hook”, and why is your business notable?
There isn’t a single place in Abilene where someone can affordably create a career in music or podcasting because of the cost of the equipment involved. We are the one-stop shop for music artistry and content creation with gear that would rival most professional content-creators and beginning artists
Describe the circumstances surrounding how you conceived and developed your business.
Chris and I have been producing music for quite a while at this point, but wanted to create a space where people could feel free to come and create. Video is king, so we realized we would need a video studio to accommodate the amount of social media content our artists would have to create. With this in mind, we figured that a podcasting studio would be a perfect complement to the recording studio since we already had all the video gear. Especially because of the popularity of podcasts, this was a great addition to the studio.

I am genuinely so thankful for the opportunity to even pitch this company. We have done a lot of the legwork to get the idea off the ground, but the reality of the situation is that with every new idea that we have, we continue to run into capital as the only outstanding obstacle. With a little push in the right direction, we could hold ownership of the music recording market and content creation markets within Abilene.
