I’ve reached out to local doctor’s offices, engaged with staff and left informative materials for further review. I’ve also distributed flyers throughout the community and invested in Facebook ads to increase visibility. I’ve also created social media pages, where I share updates, videos, and flyers to keep followers informed. While I believe these efforts have been somewhat successful, I’m always looking for new ways to expand my reach and improve results.

Describe the circumstances surrounding how you conceived and developed your business.
The idea for my business began in 2022 when my mother suffered back-to-back strokes. At the time, I worked as a medical assistant in her doctor’s office, which made it difficult to get her to and from lab appointments, especially since I worked during regular lab hours. Her doctor suggested I collect her specimens at home and bring them to the office for lab pickup, which sparked the idea for mobile lab collection services. I began researching the concept, exploring Facebook groups, learning from other mobile phlebotomists through TikTok, and reading books they had written about starting a mobile business. As I gathered information, I realized this could be a profitable opportunity. However, I quickly learned that research alone wouldn’t move me forward, so I decided to take action and launch my business with the knowledge I had gained.
